Community Guidance Center, a nonprofit behavioral healthcare organization established in 1959, provides mental health and substance use disorder services across several Pennsylvania counties, including Indiana, Clearfield, Jefferson, and Westmoreland. In 2019, the organization achieved certification from the Sanctuary Institute of Yonkers, NY, as a Certified Sanctuary Model provider. Recertification was awarded in 2023 and again in 2025. CGC is committed to providing a higher level of care, a trauma-sensitive environment for the community we serve, and a better work environment for our employees. CGC provides a wide range of mental therapeutic and rehabilitative services and resources throughout the communities we serve. In general, programs delivered by CGC providers include: - Comprehensive Psychiatric Services - Outpatient therapy - Family-based therapy - SAP (Student Assistance Program), both elementary and middle/high school level - School-based outpatient therapy - Adult partial hospitalization* (acute and subacute) - ALPHA - child and adolescent partial hospitalization* (psychiatric plus academic programming for school-aged children) - Adult psychiatric rehabilitation* (non-clinical) - Blended case management with resource coordination* -Substance Use Disorder therapy (Clearfield and DuBois only) -Problem Gambling Cessation (DuBois only) Additionally, the Community Guidance Center offers early intervention services (free of charge, 0-3 months) for Indiana County and intellectual/developmental disability supports services† (encompassing intellectual disabilities, autism, and other developmental disabilities) for Indiana, Jefferson, and Westmoreland Counties. *Mental health diagnosis required † Intellectual disability diagnosis required
