Community Health Outreach is the fictitious name Westjax Outreach Inc a registered 501(C)(3) Florida Corporation does business as. It is an organization in Jacksonville, FL that provides emergency dental care, primary medical care, and hunger assistance for underserved and uninsured individuals in Northeast Florida. We served more than 30,000 individuals last year with those services. Currently the fastest growing nonprofit in Northeast Florida we have been the beneficiary of great community support courtesy of First Coast News Apple Project fund raising, Design/Build donations from The Haskell Corporation, and matching funds granted by Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver. That effort has given us a great new facility to serve even more of the needy as we march on. Fundamentally we are a ministry started by St Peters Church in Jacksonville, FL that now partners with an ecumenical coalition of other churches to fulfill Matthew 25:35-36 "...for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me." The new building projected to open Spring 2015 will triple our dental chairs from 2 to 6, our medical exam rooms from 3 to 6 and update our equipment to state of the art. Still using an old facility for the Food Pantry which serves approximately 150 families per week. We need Dental and Medical professional Volunteers. Especially Dentists!
