Composite Company Inc. was founded in 1973 by Gary Hawkins and Albert Rohrbacher to weld shear connectors in the field for buildings and bridges. Mr. Hawkins was a Nelson Stud Welding field representative and Mr. Rohrbacher was the owner at Kurtis Steel before starting our company. In 1976, Mr. Hawkins became the sole owner of Composite Company Inc.

Composite Company Inc. has grown to be the leader in welding shear connectors in the field on bridges and buildings in Boston and throughout New England. Over the past ten years, we have expanded into bridge erection and repair. Over the past several years bridge work has grown to be the larger percentage of our service. We continue to pursue work in both fields and look forward to success and growth in both areas in the future.

Composite Company is an AISC Advanced certified steel erector. We are signatory to the Ironworkers District Council of New England. We are a member of the America
