Concept Corporation was founded in 1972 by a team of experienced materials, specialty chemical, and packaging industry veterans. Leveraging deep industry networks and a wealth of technical knowledge, a successful executive search practice was created based on an ability to rapidly frame and execute searches. Via the specialty chemical practice, Concept naturally extended its reach into the developing biotechnology industry, and in 1998 officially established Concept’s Biotech Practice. Initially focused on therapeutics and industrial biotechnology, Concept’s biotechnology recruiters were ideally suited to expand into the emerging biofuels industry. Their work in biofuels raised their awareness of the burgeoning Green Technology industry and in 2007 Concept’s Cleantech practice was officially established, continuing the natural expansion that started some 35 years earlier.
