Conception X is a nonprofit based in London, England, focused on converting scientists into founders by organizing a cross-university deeptech venture program for PhD students in Europe. Since its 2018 launch, the program has helped create more than 150 deeptech companies spanning 70 universities in 11 countries, led by technically trained founders. The organization supports ventures across fields such as cancer metastasis vaccines and carbon-absorbing living building materials, with the aim of accelerating scientific breakthroughs and creating new career pathways for researchers.

In March 2026, Barclays Bank partnered with Conception X (alongside Knowledge Exchange UK) to host a symposium that brings together tech transfer experts, investors, and policymakers to strengthen the national spinout ecosystem.
