Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW), is a nonprofit institution within The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod that provides theological higher education. Its programs aim to prepare men for pastoral ministry and to train both men and women for other roles in the church, emphasizing a Christ-centered, biblically based, confessionally Lutheran, and evangelically active understanding of the Christian faith. A recent development, announced in October 2023, was the retirement of President Lawrence R. Rast Jr., to take effect after the 2023-2024 academic year.
