Contest Yachts designs and builds luxury, semi-custom, performance sailing cruisers. A third-generation, family firm now more than 60 years old, our shipyard is on the edge of the Ijsselmeer in Medemblik, NL, and each yacht leaving the yard is fully certified by Lloyd’s Register, the world’s leading classification and compliance society.

All yachts in our 13- to 26-metre range are built to individual commission and are equally suited to coastal, offshore and bluewater exploration. Using the very best of materials, handcrafting and innovative technology, we work closely with every owner to design, build and deliver well-sorted, strong, light, sea-kindly, easily handled yachts that exactly meet personal requirements.

In 2023, the two new 15-metre models we premiered at the boot Düsseldorf exhibition have each been nominated for the industry’s top awards: the Contest 50CS for the European Yacht of the Year 2024 and the Contest 49CS for the British Yachting Awards 2023 – winners both to be announced in early 2024. The next new model is now also well on its way, the 19-metre Contest 63CS which will launch in spring 2024.
