Coppell ISD is considered a premier public school system with a statewide reputation for educational excellence and a storied legacy of focusing on educating the whole student. While the City of Coppell is just over 14 square miles, Coppell ISD encompasses more than 23 square miles. Within Coppell ISD boundaries, 63 percent of the district is comprised of the City of Coppell, 33 percent the City of Irving, 3 percent the City of Lewisville and 1 percent the City of Dallas (Cypress Waters). The district’s mission states: Working together, we are committed to profound learning experiences for each child, while nurturing meaning relationships to positively impact our world. Coppell ISD achieves our mission through our Core Values, which revolve around the themes of Engagement, Great Teaching, Redefining Success and Relationships. Coppell ISD’s new mission and Core Values evolved from the district’s recent Strategic Design process and details on this process can be found at www.coppellisd.com/strategicdesign. The impact CISD educators and staff make every day – in our classrooms, performance spaces, athletic complexes, communities and beyond – continues to result in some amazing stories. Coppell ISD is proud of all of its talented students, who excel in college preparation, workforce readiness, fine arts, athletics and more, as well as those who are going into the military. After all, it is our students who exemplify our Core Values. Coppell ISD is more than a place to learn; it is a place to develop character and a service-focused mindset necessary for success in today’s global society. The district is committed to our students and their bright futures, to our highly-qualified educators and their innovative teaching and exemplary service, and to our community through engaged partnerships and continued relationships.
