Welcome to Copperhead Farm. We are a small-family owned and operated farm located in Hadley, MA just minutes from I-91 and UMASS. We began farming and raising our own chickens for meat and eggs to provide the healthiest start possible for our three children. We enjoy knowing where our food comes from and how it was treated during its lifetime. We raise all of our animals the same... pasture, hay and natural grains as well as table scraps. We do not use any chemical fertilizers or pesticides anywhere on our property that our animals will be. We are inspected by our local health department annually and, in fact, just passed our most recent health inspection November 2012. Our Boer goats are raised in beautiful open pasture on the most fertile soil in the Valley. They are happy and healthy and come from pure bred and full-blood lineage. They get plenty of fresh pasture and are fed quality second-cut hay, minerals and limited amounts of natural grain to supplement. Our goats have plenty of fresh food and water, and lots of room to roam and sleep. We spend lots of time with them to ensure herd health. They get quite a bit of our attention and are treated humanely throughout their lives. We guarantee all of our meat to be free from hormones and antibiotics when processed and delivered to you.
