Corn Belt Energy Corporation is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric cooperative based in Bloomington, Illinois. Founded in 1938 to extend electricity to rural residents, the co-op now serves more than 35,000 homes and businesses across 18 counties in Central Illinois, maintaining over 5,000 miles of distribution lines. Its power is supplied by Wabash Valley Power Association, and it also supplies natural gas to Nicor Gas customers in Illinois through the Customer Select program.
