The Corporation for Black Male Achievement is a New York City–based publishing and consulting organization that develops leadership programs and community-building initiatives for Black men and boys. It curates narratives and offerings that center loving, learning, and leading by and for Black men and boys, spanning publishing activities and advisory work. The entity traces its origins to 2008 as an Open Society Foundations project known as the Campaign for Black Male Achievement, became an independent 501(c)(3) in 2015, and was relaunched in 2021 after a period of sunsetting. Over time, CBMA built a national network of thousands of individuals and hundreds of organizations committed to improving life outcomes for Black men and boys, and the current organization maintains a small team while continuing publishing and consulting activities from New York. In October 2022, it partnered with the Beloved Community Center and the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina to involve ITAA Fellows in a gathering of leaders, illustrating ongoing collaborative work.
