Established in 2001, Cosmic Volunteers is a secular 501(c)(3) charity that offers volunteering and internship programs abroad in ten countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Founder and Director Scott Burke started Cosmic Volunteers by offering volunteer programs in Nepal. Cosmic Volunteers then expanded to offer programs in as many as 15 countries.

Our volunteers come mostly from the US, Canada, Europe and Australia. They are students, career breakers, families, and retirees ranging from 11 to 70+ years of age.

Our volunteers work abroad at schools, hospitals, media companies, orphanages, HIV/AIDS groups, wildlife parks, women’s groups, and other organizations who ask us for assistance.

We receive all of our funding from the program fees paid by our participants.
