Cruises International, Inc. opened its doors in Schaumburg, Illinois as “cruise specialists” in 1978, when the cruise industry was in its infancy. This was a time when air travel was king and specializing in cruises was considered risky business. We were warned by many that cruise specialization would never work, but through our perseverance and the support of the cruise industry, we quickly grew to be top producers for most cruise lines, winning numerous awards.  In 1980 Carnival named Cruises International their 1st Agency of the Year, and through the years, we have held prestigious positions on major cruise line advisory boards, Holland America, Princess Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line among them. 

Cruises International offers an extensive background of experience in planning for groups, individuals, and corporate incentive programs. Our staff of master and accredited cruise consultants are experienced and widely traveled.In addition, we now serve as a travel training center for consultants new to the business.

Our relatively rapid growth was fueled by our strong belief that every ship has a unique personality, and our strength was matching the right customer to the best ship for them.  This philosophy and commitment brought us repeat, loyal customers for life, and is woven in the fabric of all our strategies and values to this day.
