Culture Shock® Washington, D.C. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Culture Shock®  Washington, D.C. is an affiliate organization of the Culture Shock® International network with chapters across the United States and Canada. Culture Shock® Washington, D.C. is dedicated to innovative performance, artist development, community enrichment, and youth dance education. 

Culture Shock® Washington, D.C.'s performance credits span both local (The Kennedy Center, 2013) and national outlets (The Cherry Blossom Festival, 2015). Culture Shock® Washington, D.C. is available to contract for corporate and private events. INNOVATIVE PERFORMANCE
Our world-renowned Culture Shock® dance troupes have performed their groundbreaking Hip Hop pieces on stages all over the world. Culture Shock® Washington, D.C. adds value and depth to the artistic and cultural scene in the Washington, D.C.-area.

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT
Culture Shock® DC empowers company members to achieve artistic and personal excellence through training, development, and performance opportunities in Hip Hop dance. Weekly, open classes are taught both by company members and world-renowned guest choreographers. To foster budding artistry Culture Shock® DC adult troupe members provide mentorship to youth members.

COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT
Culture Shock® engages in community outreach through performances in schools, complimentary performances and dance education to community organizations. Company members also volunteer with public and non-profit organizations in service of needing populations in the community. Participation in our youth programs offer safe, social development through rewarding activity, confidence-building, and a positive environment.
