Darex is a small- to mid-sized manufacturing company based in Medford, Oregon. The business traces its origins to 1973 in Beecher, Illinois, founded by three generations of the Bernard family, and it relocated to Oregon in 1978. It develops industrial drill sharpening tools for use by manufacturing, fabrication, and construction professionals to keep drills effective.

In 2020 ownership passed to Gary Varney, signaling a shift in leadership and a renewed focus on reliable sharpening solutions for drills. That year the company also announced the appointment of Matt Elliott as Director of Marketing.
