Davenport University is a private, nonprofit higher education institution serving more than 6,500 students across Michigan campuses and online. Founded in 1866 and based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, it offers more than 60 undergraduate and graduate programs designed to prepare students for in-demand careers in business, technology, health professions, urban education, and the arts and sciences, with small class sizes and faculty who bring real-world experience. In 2026 the school announced leadership changes, naming Anthony Anderson as interim president effective July 1 following the retirement of President Richard J. Pappas, Ed.D. That year also included campus milestones, including a stadium dedication honoring Pappas and the conferment of emeritus status by the board.
