David Smotrich & Partners LLP is a certified WBE/DBE women owned, Manhattan based architectural/planning firm with over fifty years of professional design experience. It was founded by David Smotrich, FAIA in 1985 which was the spinoff firm from Smotrich & Platt, established in 1965. Deborah Homan, RLA, began full time at DSP in 1990 and became partner in 1998. After David’s passing in 2010, she purchased the firm and for the past eight years has been successfully partnered with Clare E. Smith, AIA. 

DSP has highly skilled architects, whom provide the client with excellent quality from studies and concept design through construction administration and post occupancy evaluation. We listen to our Clients and work diligently to achieve their goals and exceed their expectations. DSP is committed to producing technically proficient, highly detailed construction drawings and exacting specifications. We know that the success of any project is dependent upon the actual execution of the work. 

David Smotrich & Partners LLP has designed hundreds of successful projects including, but not limited to, new buildings, additions, alterations, rehabilitations, ADA modifications, façade repairs, historic restorations, and adaptive reuses of interior spaces. This experience has given DSP the benefit of diverse project knowledge for a multitude of varying types, sizes, and construction values. The projects handled by the firm, vary from a few hundred thousand dollar projects to multi-million dollar projects. We pride ourselves on giving each project attentive and thoughtful design, no matter the budget. 

At DSP, we insist on a positive design philosophy of collaborative teamwork, strong organizational skills, and code compliance in order to always provide the client with excellent service. The success of our quality control is full coordination between client, subconsultants, and contractors until the project is complete.
