The DC Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP) is a government administration agency in the District of Columbia, created by law in 1997 to provide contracting services for selected District agencies and offices. It functions under the direction of the Chief Procurement Officer and manages the purchase of goods, services, and construction for more than 76 District agencies, with an annual procurement volume of about $5.2 billion. Its mission is to collaborate with vendors and District agencies to obtain quality goods and services promptly and at reasonable cost, while ensuring fair and impartial purchasing actions. Under the Procurement Practices Reform Act of 2010, OCP is responsible for establishing procurement processing standards that conform to regulations and for monitoring the effectiveness of procurement service delivery; its core programs include the DC Supply Schedule, the Purchase Card program, and the surplus property disposition and re-utilization program. OCP employs between 51 and 200 staff, operates weekdays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and is located at One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street NW, Suite 330S.
