The Defense Logistics Agency acts as the U.S. military's logistics combat support agency, directing the end-to-end global defense supply chain—from raw materials to end-user disposition—for the five military services, 11 combatant commands, and other federal, state, and local agencies as well as partner and allied nations. It procures items from manufacturers and suppliers and provides services such as warehousing, packaging, and transportation to DoD and other customers.
