Design Hotels is a Berlin-based hospitality company founded in 1993 that represents and markets a curated portfolio of more than 300 independent hotels across more than 60 countries. The collection reflects the perspectives of independent hoteliers, referred to as Originals, who emphasize culturally rooted hospitality and design-forward concepts; each property is selected to offer guests a distinctive experience at competitive rates. In addition to connecting hotels with guests, the company provides travel industry knowledge through market trend consultancy and international sales representation, supported from its Berlin headquarters with additional offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, and Singapore. The firm's primary customers are independent hoteliers seeking global exposure and a consistent marketing platform, while travelers are offered access to a diverse, design- and culture-driven hotel collection. The organization positions itself as a curator and intermediary within the broader hospitality industry, facilitating distribution and market insights for its properties. A notable recent development in 2026 was a portfolio expansion with Palisociety, signaling ongoing growth in its network.
