Our Corporate team at Dessange Group North America works hard with one goal in mind – to support our network of individually-owned Fantastic Sams salons, an established and trusted full-service salon franchise in North America. 

In 1974, Sam Ross opened the first Fantastic Sams salon with the goal of creating an affordable salon experience that was accessible to everyone. In 1976, he began franchising his concept, making Fantastic Sams the first national unisex hair salon franchise in the US. Today, Fantastic Sams has hundreds of salons throughout North America. As for the name, the story goes that as he finished up a particularly stylish cut, the client said, “That’s fantastic, Sam!” and a legacy was born!

In 2012, Fantastic Sams became part of Dessange International, the premium-luxury European salon chain, headquartered in Paris, France. Dessange is the world’s leading network of excellence for global beauty.
