DET Distributing Company is one of Tennessee’s largest and most progressive beverage distributors, with locations in Nashville and Jackson. E. E. Dettwiller, father of the current owner and president, founded DET Distributing Company in 1951. Delivering virtually every brand of beer available in the United States, the company enjoys a large market share in its multi-county service area. Under the leadership of owner G. Fred Dettwiller, who purchased the company from his father’s estate in 1973, DET Distributing Company has purchased 13 other distributorships and won the Miller Masters award nine times. This is the highest award given by Miller Beer to a distributor.
