Lauren Publications was born in 1984 as a twin to Publisher Joylyn Niebes' new daughter.  As both baby and then-titled book The Children's Pages grew, the publication evolved into DallasChild by 1986.  The flagship magazine was followed by sister publications FortWorthChild, dfwchildBABY, NorthTexasChild and Thrive (our Special Needs publication) in 1993, 1996, 2008 and 2009, respectively.  

At Lauren Publications and dfwchild.com we inform, educate, entertain, inspire and provide a provocative forum among parents, the community and professionals who work with children.

Our guiding philosophy is that information, resources and support are essential for parents in making life's decisions.
