Dharma College is dedicated to exploring and disseminating the most liberating knowledge and values of Eastern and Western scholarship for the use and benefit of all beings. This is the right place and now is the right time for the ancient wisdom traditions to influence modern disciplines in a fundamental way. Dharma College was founded by Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche (Tibet, 1935), a traditionally trained teacher and author in the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism and Head Lama of the Tibetan Nyingmapa Meditation Center. Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche is the first lama of the Nyingma lineage to establish residence in the United States. Rinpoche established a mandala of organizations to actualize his long-range vision of preserving the ancient teachings of the Buddha and transmitting them to the modern world.
