The diocese, comprised of 127 parishes, or faith communities, and 23 schools, is home to more than 700,000 Catholics across 25 counties in Central Texas. Bishop Joe S. Vásquez is the fifth bishop of the Diocese of Austin and was installed on March 8, 2010.
