Disaster Services Corporation (DSC) is a distinguished national non-profit organization and a subsidiary of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul (SVDP). Led by CEO Elizabeth Disco-Shearer, a veteran in disaster-related operations, DSC serves as a vital second-responder dedicated to providing person-to-person recovery services to families affected by both man-made and natural disasters throughout the United States. Our Mission At DSC, our mission extends beyond immediate disaster relief. We specialize in long-term case management, filling the crucial gap after first-responder agencies have left. Our commitment to serving communities is unwavering. DSC's Core Functions Include: -Deployment of Regional Rapid Response Teams -Support for Disaster Recovery Centers -Representation at local Multi-Agency Resource Centers -Provision of Disaster Case Management for Impacted Families -Collaboration in State and Private DCM Training -Assistance in Long-Term Recovery Efforts -Provision of Furnished Homes through the House in the Box® Program Our Vision DSC is dedicated to advancing equity in all facets of emergency management.
