Dopravní podnik hl. m. Prahy, akciová společnost is a Prague-based operator of ground passenger transportation, providing public transit services in the Czech capital. It originated in 1897 as Elektrické podniky královského hlavního města Prahy, initially involved in urban mass transit and electricity generation and distribution. Following 1946 nationalization and later reorganizations, the entity became the Public Transit Companies of the Capital City of Prague, and in 1991 it was reorganized as a joint-stock company with the City of Prague as sole shareholder. The company maintains an online presence at dpp.cz and recent news in 2026 indicates it appointed a consortium, including Hochtief, BeMo Tunnelling and Subterra, to build the next phase of Prague's metro line D.
