Dow Screw Products, Inc. is a mid-sized U.S. manufacturer that provides precision metal components through a custom machining operation within the automation machinery sector. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, it produced parts ranging from single pieces to production runs exceeding one million and operated under an ISO 9001 quality system focused on continuous improvement. The company pursued a global footprint by owning expertise in China to offer low-cost options while maintaining tooling and inventory in the United States to support rapid releases. It functioned as a collaborative partner, working with customers on the design and function of machined components and serving as a supply chain partner rather than producing its own products. After about five decades in business and nearly thirty years under current ownership, Dow Screw Products, Inc. announced that it would cease operations.
