Downes Tree Service is a Hawthorne, New Jersey-based company with more than 30 years of experience serving the state. It operates as a full-service environmental, landscape, and site-management organization with multiple divisions, serving residential, commercial, government, and municipal clients and expanding into other East Coast states.

The company provides tree services including removals, pruning, and stump grinding, supported by NJ-licensed tree experts and certified arborists, and it manages large municipal, government, and DOT contracts. Its trucking and recycling arm processes incoming green waste into mulch or soil, minimizes landfill waste, and offers container rentals, a drop-off yard, and supplies such as mulch and topsoil. It also runs lawn and plant health programs—covering aeration, seeding, fertilization, insect and disease control, invasive species management, and hydroseeding—performed by certified pesticide applicators. In addition, it delivers golf course and grounds management, landscape design and planting, and construction services for renovation or new-build projects.
