Dream Tank is a Boulder-based nonprofit operating in the primary and secondary education space with a focus on youth leadership and civic systems change. As a 501(c)(3) innovation lab, it seeks to transform how communities respond to crisis and plan for the future by centering young people in design and decision-making, including a 2023 collaboration with About Boulder CO to amplify youth voices in local media.

It is developing youth-powered city labs in Providence, Boulder, and Golden, activated this spring to pilot a replicable model that channels youth insights into city planning. Within these labs, Youth City Councils produce monthly briefs for planning, K–12 Core Fellowships gather belonging narratives and storytelling, and City Dream Fellowships for 18–25 translate youth input into policy ideas and rapid prototypes through intergenerational collaboration. DreamCast, a youth-led broadcast series, highlights student prototypes and mayor collaborations.
