"Breaking It Down" is one of the hottest new drum instructional book series to hit the teaching scene. The series was developed by Kevin White who has over 20 years of teaching and performance experience. "Breaking It Down Book 1" is for the student who is learning to play drums for the very first time. It's an innovative drum set instructional book series for beginners and a method book for teachers. It’s been long overdue for a series to come along that helps guide drum teachers who work with beginners of all ages and especially students with FOCUS issues. "Breaking It Down Book 1" is a snare drum book and drum set book all-in-one, filled with snare drum reading, drum grooves, fills, and solos. In a step by step process students learn to read rhythms on snare drum and then apply them to the drum set, developing coordination to learn drum grooves. Most drum set books just show drum grooves but don't actually show the beginning student how to get there. This series does! So, let's "Break It Down".
