Founded in 1996, DuMOL was built on a simple conviction: that a very specific place, carefully understood over time, could produce wines of uncommon depth and longevity. We focus our work in a narrow stretch of the western Russian River Valley, near the Sonoma Coast—where uplifted marine Goldridge soils, coastal fog, and the chill of the Pacific Ocean create ideal conditions for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Redwood forests thrive here. So do cool-climate vineyards. We farm around 100 acres, sustainably and organically, with an internal team that lives with the vineyards year-round. Every block is worked by hand, observed closely, and guided—not forced—through the season. By limiting our geography and our varietals, we gain something far more valuable than scale: intimacy. Over time, we come to understand how fog moves, how soils drain, how each vintage asks something slightly different of us. That knowledge compounds. It shows up in the glass. Our winemaking is quiet by design. Gentle, precise, and patient. We aim to reveal what the land gives us, not overwrite it. Each bottle is meant to age, to evolve, and to reward attention—but it’s also meant to be enjoyed now, at a table, with new friends and people you care about. “Wine makes daily living easier, less hurried, with fewer tensions and more tolerance.” —Benjamin Franklin We believe that idea matters more today than ever. In a world optimized for speed and volume, DuMOL stands for slowing down, paying attention, and choosing depth over distraction. Wine, at its best, creates space—for conversation, for connection, for reflection. That’s what we’re really crafting. When you buy a bottle of DuMOL, you’re not just buying wine. You’re supporting a way of working that values place, patience, trust, and long-term thinking. You’re choosing something worth keeping—and better shared. We’d be honored to be part of your table.
