Dwight School is an independent preparatory and secondary school serving nursery through 12th grade, based in New York City, New York. Founded in 1872, it offers the International Baccalaureate curriculum and is described as the first in the Americas to provide the full IB program for ages 3–19. The IB framework aims to foster caring, principled, globally minded critical thinkers. The school emphasizes personalized learning, maintains a notably low student–teacher ratio among NYC independent schools, and organizes its approach around three pillars: personalized learning, community, and a global vision. As the flagship campus of The Dwight Schools, a global network of IB World Schools in London, Seoul, Shanghai, Dubai, Hanoi and online, Dwight participates in cross-campus exchanges and collaborative programs, online courses, international athletic events, and global leadership conferences, complemented by its Spark Tank incubator for student-led innovations. A recent development is the partnership with Al-Futtaim Education Foundation to open Dwight School Cairo in September 2026.
