After more than thirty years of success in the licensed apparel industry, Dynasty Apparel Corporation cannot be celebrated without recognizing its humble origins. Dynasty’s unofficial beginnings came in, of all places, a family garage in Miami, Florida when brothers Ignacio, Armando and Lorenzo, barely out of high school, began manually screen printing t-shirts. After freelance gigs designing and printing shirts for small businesses around South Florida, the brothers decided to move the operation out of the garage and founded Mendez Screen Printing in 1980.The company created graphics and innovative merchandising ideas for sportswear manufacturers in Florida and New York. In the 1990's after securing a major licensing deal with the NFL, MLB, and NBA the company rebranded to Dynasty Apparel Corporation, reflecting the wide variety of products and licenses. Dynasty in the 2000's turned its focus to licensed fashion apparel, including wovens, knits, and thermals. Dynasty acquired Dino di Milano and its exclusive licensing agreement with the Williamson-Dickie Company to market and manufacture Young Men’s fashion tops with the Dickies brand.Today, Dynasty Apparel Corporation works with some of the most iconic brands of the last century, including Major League Baseball, The Walt Disney Company, Peanuts Worldwide, Sega, PepsiCo, Ford Motor Company, and General Motors. Still headquartered at its family owned and operated facility in Miami, Florida, Dynasty continues to turn creative and innovative ideas into quality product while generating strong sell-throughs for its wide range of retail partners.
