Founded in 1962, the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council is a public, non-profit agency created as one of Florida's regional planning councils under Chapter 186. It serves eight counties—Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia—assisting public, private, and institutional sectors with regional-scale issues.
