East Central Oklahoma Electric Cooperative is a non-profit, member-owned utility that provides electricity distribution in a 3,000 square mile service area. It serves portions of Creek, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Tulsa and Wagoner counties in Oklahoma, sourcing wholesale power from providers such as KAMO Power and Western Farmers Electric Cooperative. Governing policies are set by a seven-member board elected by member/owners for three-year terms, representing seven districts, with a manager overseeing operations across five departments: Member Services, Office Services, Accounting, Human Resources and Operations & Engineering. Headquartered in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, the cooperative is one of 28 member-owned rural electric cooperatives in the state. In 2026 it announced a partnership with Electric Co-op and a collaboration with NRECA to enhance knowledge resources available to its members.
