Why 'Ecclesial'? The word “ecclesial” points to our affiliation with churches in a way that transcends traditional Christian educational models. We partner with local congregations that have a vision for Christian education and for ministry within their communities as well as underutilized spaces during the week. ESI Schools engineers and oversees all aspects of the school, from school design and student recruitment to hiring faculty, day-t0-day operations, administration, and, of course, teaching and learning. The local congregation provides the cultural assets that are essential for Christian formation and the physical resources that ensure financial accessibility. Congregational leaders are also represented on the board’s advisory committee to ensure proper channels of communication between school and church leadership.
