eco is an association for the Internet industry based in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, offering reliable networks and up-to-date industry knowledge to its members. It represents member interests in political processes in Berlin and at the European level and participates in international committees to amplify the industry's voice. The organization connects thousands of contacts from more than 1,000 international member companies and runs a Competence Network of industry specialists and decision makers, supported by a team of more than 70 staff. Since 1995, eco has contributed to the development of the Internet in Germany by fostering new technologies, infrastructures, and markets and by shaping framework conditions.

eco hosts nearly 100 events per year, free of charge, enabling members to learn about trends, exchange knowledge, and engage with leaders from across the Internet sector. In January 2026, dacoso GmbH became a member, bringing its expertise in connectivity and cybersecurity, including quantum security, to eco.
