EcoSet operates as an environmental production resource that develops customized, practical, and sustainable solutions for commercial productions and marketing events. Since 2009, it has pursued Zero Waste goals by promoting reuse and repurposing of discarded production materials rather than disposal. In Los Angeles, the ReDirect drop-off service provides an alternative to dumpsters, helping keep constructed elements and reusable materials out of landfills. The Materials Oasis in the same city offers free materials to non-profits, artists, theaters, schools, and individuals; more than half of the materials saved from landfill are donated for reuse, with the remainder recycled or composted to reach a high diversion rate. 

As filming cities pursue Zero Waste requirements, EcoSet positions itself as a strategic partner for businesses seeking to address waste impacts and establish better systems for discards. An August 2021 partnership with ClareHerald involved EcoSet and Sea Change in a social media competition.
