Edith Cowan University (ECU) is a higher education institution in Western Australia with campuses in Joondalup, Perth city, Bunbury, and an international campus in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka, as well as online study options. The university comprises eight schools, including Arts and Humanities, Business and Law; Education; Engineering; Medical and Health Sciences; Nursing and Midwifery; Science; and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). ECU serves more than 30,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students and welcomes over 6,000 international students annually from more than 100 countries. It is a CRICOS provider (No. 00279B) and an RTO (Code 4756), and is one of two Academic Centres for Cyber Security Excellence in Australia as well as a lead partner in the $50 million Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre with the Western Australian government. The university includes the Kurongkurl Katitjin Centre for Australian Indigenous Education and Research and WAAPA, and houses the oldest School of Education in Western Australia as well as the state's largest undergraduate Nursing program; it also acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as traditional custodians of the land.
