Educational Empowerment is dedicated to empowering women and children living in poverty in Myanmar through literacy and education. 

Through partnerships with local community-based organizations, Educational Empowerment provides new socio-economic opportunities through microfinance, publishes books, develops libraries, and empowers teachers with training and tools. Through a literacy exchange program between the Myanmar schools and Bainbridge Island schools, students in both countries develop an awareness of each other’s languages and lives.
