Edward Deegan Architects is a full-service design firm specializing in traditional architecture and interior design. We provide an intentional and time-honored approach for fully custom new construction, renovations, historic preservation, design finishes and furnishings. Our reputation for excellence garners a portfolio spanning the North Shore of Chicago and beyond.
Our projects draw inspiration across time and genre, honoring historical context while modernizing and designing spaces to reflect our unique lifestyles. Our work is honest and original, yet comfortably familiar. We strive to marry the everyday needs of our clients with a desire to create something truly exceptional. 

In January 2014, EDA began as a full-service design firm offering both architecture and interior design services. Our office is based just north of Chicago, but our work stretches across multiple states including Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Massachusetts. While we are first and foremost an architectural firm, Ed has always maintained a holistic approach to design, considering the interiors from each projects’ inception. Our in-house designers help to bring the architectural spaces to completion by introducing the final touches that reflect the personality of the client and EDA’s own style. The interiors team has now expanded enough to take on its own interior design projects, independent of our architectural services.
We take on a limited number of custom projects per year, in a range of needs and scope, in an effort to maintain personal attention to detail and high caliber creative execution.
