The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to promoting free trade and economic integration among its four member states: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. It is headquartered in Geneva, where the Secretariat provides services related to free trade and cooperation agreements with third countries. To support the European Economic Area framework, the organization maintains a Brussels Secretariat and a Luxembourg Office.

EFTA's activities are primarily aimed at governments and international partners seeking to navigate trade arrangements and cooperation initiatives with third countries and within the EEA framework. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, it operates within the international affairs domain with a regional structure spanning its main offices. In March 2025, EFTA released an updated edition of the EFTA FTA Monitor, a publication that tracks how tariff preferences are used under its free trade agreements.
