Ellington Geological Services is a team of highly-trained and dedicated professionals and technicians, that truly understand the importance of the data contained in rocks and the care required to protect, preserve, and extract it.
For many years, we have been one of the main destinations in Texas for handling cutting and core samples. Our legacy company started in Houston 30 years ago, now we are back with a refreshed name, but with the same extraordinary team and quality of work. Services are:
- SAMPLE MANAGEMENT AND PROCESSING
Our sample management system provides a reliable and efficient organization and inventory for your cutting samples. We also process samples for micro- and nannofossils extraction, both at the laboratory and the wellsite.
- WELLSITE BIOSTRATIGRAPHY
Our wellsite team includes internationally recognized, highly-experienced, micro- and nannopaleontologists, and experienced, highly-skilled, sample preparation technicians. We endeavor to provide real-time biostratigraphy age monitoring for assistance in your while-drilling decisions.
- PROJECTS IN BIOSTRATIGRAPHY
Our biostratigraphy studies are tailored to your needs from quick-look or standard resolution age dating to high-resolution biostratigraphy. And if fossil extraction is unsuccessful, we offer thin section biofacies analysis as the best way to gain insight into the paleoenvironmental and age of the rock.
- LITHOLOGY AND PETROGRAPHY STUDIES
Petrography studies and lithological descriptions of cores and cuttings are tailored to specific needs of our clients.
-WELLSITE MUDLOGGING AUDITS
We provide highly experienced auditors wherever in the world your well is located. We assess personnel experience, instruments, procedures, efficiency and safety.
