Elmdale Partners, LLC (“Elmdale”) is a real estate acquisition firm based in Chicago, Illinois focused on acquiring and managing retail, office, multi-family and industrial properties throughout the Midwest with a specific focus on Chicago and southeast Wisconsin.  Elmdale and its Principals have over 22 years of experience acquiring and investing in commercial real estate properties.

Elmdale was formed in 2010 by its Principals, Thomas Bretz and Adam Freeman, who previously were the Managing Director and Managing Principal at The Endeavor Companies, LLC, a Chicago based real estate acquisition and private equity firm where they were primarily responsible for sourcing, evaluating and executing the firm’s real estate transactions.  

Thomas and Adam have over 22 years of experience acquiring and investing in commercial real estate properties on behalf of themselves and outside investors.  Throughout their careers, Thomas and Adam have acquired or invested in over $350 million of commercial real estate assets.  Elmdale seeks to draw on this experience and drive returns to ourselves and our partners through the acquisition of fundamentally sound real estate assets and value creation through the active management of our assets.

Our objective is to acquire real estate properties and loans at fair prices, use prudent debt financing to increase yield without risking the downside, and actively manage the properties to create value for ourselves and our partners.
