The product scope covers the design, manufacture and trade of / with; - electrical energy saving systems, - operator training simulators for technical products, - medical devices for urology and orthopedics ELMED has manufactured and trade of the following products; - ESWL Units for fragmenting the urinary system stones by the means of shock waves - Treatment Table with motorized movement - Urological Diagnostic Table - Fluoroscopy Units - Automatic Ultrasonic Localization System - Pneumatic Lithotripter - Pneumatic and Ultrasonic Combined Lithotripter - ESWT (extracorporeal shock wave therapy) Unit ELMED was first certified according to EN ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard in 1998 and extended the certification in 2003 by the standard EN ISO 13485. This went in line with the subsequent CE marking of the ELMED products according to the EU Medical Device Directive, thus proving compliance with the high safety and performance requirements in the European Union. Elmed began exported its FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved products to USA in 2009.
