Founded in November 1978, EMC began as a partnership of three professional engineers providing environmental, marine, and civil engineering services to local municipalities, industries, and private developers in Savannah, Georgia. Within five years, the firm had tripled in size, prompting a move from its original Liberty Street office to the heart of Savannah’s historic downtown business district. By our tenth year, EMC had established itself as one of the top engineering firms in the region, expanding its services to include surveying, transportation engineering, and landscape architecture.

In 1998, EMC took a significant step forward, opening our first branch office in Statesboro, Georgia, marking our transformation into a multi-disciplined regional firm. Over the years, we have continued to grow, adding offices in Albany, Augusta, Brunswick, Columbus, Greenville (SC), and Thomaston. Our service offerings have also expanded to include geotechnical engineering and materials testing.
