Emgage is a mid-sized nonprofit based in Washington, DC, organized into three entities—the nonprofit Emgage USA, the advocacy arm Emgage Action, and Emgage PAC—that work in concert to expand political influence for Muslim Americans. It educates and mobilizes Muslim American voters through initiatives such as Get Out The Vote, voter education, civic forums, and leadership training, and maintains chapters across several states, including Pennsylvania, Florida, Michigan, the New York metropolitan area, Texas, and Virginia. Operating in the civic and social sector, the organization combines community outreach, policy advocacy, and electoral engagement to support a more pluralistic democracy. Emgage USA's programmatic work seeks to enable participation of Muslim communities in elections and public life. Emgage Action advocates for policies intended to protect civil rights and democratic norms, including voting rights, religious freedom, racial justice, and concerns around discrimination and security impacts on Muslim and minority communities. Emgage PAC supports local, state, and federal candidates who advance an inclusive, pluralistic America. In October 2023, Emgage partnered with Reform Alliance to host an event at a Philadelphia mosque, reflecting collaborative civic engagement efforts.
