Endeavour Energy is a utilities provider focused on safety and customer service, operating a substantial electricity distribution network in New South Wales. It serves more than a million connected customers—about 2.4 million people—across 24,800 square kilometres spanning Sydney’s Greater West, the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands, the Illawarra, and the South Coast. The network has a reported value of about $6.2 billion and supports the region’s economy, including growth centres designated to accommodate future population growth. Ownership is held by an Australian-led consortium of institutional investors, led by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, with members including AMP Capital, the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, and the Qatar Investment Authority; the NSW Government retains a 49.6% stake and continues to license safety and reliability. The consortium gained rights to manage Endeavour Energy’s network under a 99-year lease in June 2017, acquiring 50.4% of the rights. Endeavour Energy is based in Parramatta, New South Wales, and, in early 2026, announced the appointment of Danny Cooper as chief executive officer, effective March 2, 2026.
