A professional services firm dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the exterior envelope of the built environment.  ECS is a firm of principals all with equal ownership.  They are Mr. Helms and Mr. Davison,  James Duber, Architect, Jessica Powell, Architect, and L. Donald Leinweber, Structural Engineer. 

So often building issues can be tied back to water infiltration; infiltration that has gone unnoticed until it migrates to the interior well after wall system damage is done. Mitigating moisture intrusion into a structure is one of the keys to maintaining the asset. It controls future maintenance costs and unexpected restoration requirements. Discovering where the infiltration source in a structure isn’t always easy. Water tends to take the path of least resistance that can have multiple twists and turns, proven by having investigated leak conditions where water entered a building then traveled 7 stories before it was realized on the interior. A systematic and thorough approach to testing for infiltration points will always lead to the source. This systematic approach will show the appropriate information for the proper corrective measure. 

Another tenant of our philosophy is the belief that the Owner, designer, and contractor are a team who’s success lies in the strengths of each member. We also believe in setting realistic expectations through clear communication with all involved always representing the owner’s best interest.
